Last Friday went to the National Archives II. Obtained Registration Card. Attempted to search for probate materials relating to Isabella and Thomas K. Beale. Man at the front desk said the materials were there but they were not. Located some materials at the National Archives I. Did not find Thomas K. Beale or Isabella in the Administration Accts or Inventories indexes. Still need to look at the Marriage Records for Mary Magee. Need to Consult Bob Barnes. His home phone number is (410) 256-4028. Dr. Papenfuse requests that I should talk to him about learning how to become a descent genealogist. What strategies should I know; how to approach or to look for materials.

Also traveled to Wheat's Row. We found the House!!! We recognized it immediately because of what we presume to be is his signature (the horizontal oval window). Took photographs. Brick structure. Recognixed as Historic building but Papenfuse does not think that they know that it is probably the oldest exitent structuer in Washington DC.

Today: After the meeting, I went to do some more genealogical work. I did not find anything concerning the Beales in Prince George's or Montgomery Counties. But I did try to track down Mary again. I found a MRS MARY MAGEE living on 48 Fleet St in 1831 and then on the corner of Ann and Fleet in 1833. She was missing from the Baltimore City Directory again in 1835. I checked the Baltimore County Administration Accounts to see if she died but a Mrs Mary Magee was not listed. Time to review what I know. In 1829 Mary Magee petitions the General Assembley. She states that she has been out of the states for upwards of 14 years (presumably she left before 1815 then). She states that she has not been in Annapolis for over 20 years (since 1809) . She petitions the Assembley to get money to rejoin her husband in the interior of S. America. She has not gotten anything from him in four years. He is a LT. Colonol in the Columbian army.
