C. 20543 (202) 479-3256 December 15, 1989 MAEVA MARCUS, EDITOR CHRISTINE R. JORDAN, ASSOCIATE EDITOR NATALIE WEXLER, ASSOCIATE EDITOR MARK G. HIRSCH, ASSOCIATE EDITOR STEPHEN L. TULL, ASSISTANT EDITOR Mr. Edward C. Papenfuse Maryland State Archives 350 Rowe Blvd. Annapolis, MD 21401 Dear Mr. Papenfuse: I enclose a copy of the transcript of the record in the case Barron v. Baltimore. It is from a volume in the U.S. Supreme Court Library entitled Transcripts of Records, 1833, Jan. Term 1833. There is no publication information, because the volume represents the Supreme Court's bound copy of the printed materials filed in cases docketed after 1831 rather than an official publication. The cases are filed chronologically by docket number, in this case No. 88, and there is a handwritten alphabetical index at the beginning of each volum^that is referenced to the handwritten page number in the top left hand corner of the first page, in this case page 333. I have not yet heard from the National Archives about the case file there, I will give you a call as soon as I do. Very truly yours, I RECEIVED DEC 18 Christine Jordan Supported by The Supreme Court Historical Society and The National Historical Publications and Records Commission
